DJ Hosei

Hosei is a tango dancer and DJ whose approach is grounded in a genuine love for Argentine tango and the social dance floor. He began dancing tango in Santiago de Chile in 2013, and since then tango has taken him across the world, dancing in many of the most cherished tango cities and communities.

As a DJ, Hosei is known for his thoughtful and musical selections, focusing on traditional tango orchestras, carefully complemented with subtle touches of modern recordings. He began DJing in 2019 at his own relaxed Sunday práctica, where he developed a strong sensitivity to floor energy, musical flow, and the needs of social dancers. This quickly led to invitations to DJ at a range of Sydney milongas, as well as international engagements in Japan and Bangkok, Thailand.

Born in Tokyo and now based in Sydney, Australia, Hosei brings a calm, warm presence to the DJ booth. His aim is always to create an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere, supporting connection, musicality, and enjoyment on the dance floor, while sharing his deep appreciation for tango through both music and dance.
