Daniel Nacucchio & Cristina Sosa

Cristina Sosa began her artistic journey at the age of 9, exploring various dance styles such as ballet and jazz. At 18, she discovered Tango and dedicated herself to mastering the dance.

Daniel Nacucchio has been immersed in the world of Salon Tango since he was 16, learning from renowned performers such as Lampazo, Carlos Pérez, Gabriel Misse, and Roberto Herrera.

Daniel & Cristina started their partnership in 2007. In 2008, they achieved an unprecedented feat by winning four championship titles in one year:

  • World Tango Championship (Tango Salon)
  • Metropolitan Tango Championship (Tango Salon)
  • Metropolitan Tango Championship (Milonga)
  • Japan Open (Tango Salon)

Since then, Daniel & Cristina have become highly sought-after dancers and instructors at international festivals and workshops. Their performances are celebrated for their spectacular precision and artistry. They have participated in numerous major national and international tango shows, including El Café de los Maestros, Complejo Tango, and Tango mas Tango. Additionally, they are appointed judges for the prestigious el Mundial del Tango Buenos Aires, an annual championship that showcases the best tango dancers from around the world.

Daniel & Cristina are no strangers to Australia, having visited on several occasions. During their 2010 visit, they performed at the Australian Dance Festival, with a standout performance at the Sydney Town Hall in front of over 2,000 attendees. They were also featured on Channel 7’s Morning Show, promoting the festival and showcasing their incredible talent. In 2013, Daniel & Cristina starred in Morena Dancewear’s production of Tango y Nada Mas at the Concourse Theatre, Chatswood. The show, which featured five Tango World Champions, had five sessions over three days and received acclaim for its rich performances, selling out completely.

Daniel & Cristina continue to visit Australia regularly to give workshops and performances. They have cultivated a strong following of students and fans who eagerly anticipate their return each time.
